Organizing the fridge can look different but the goal is the same.
The aim is to reduce the time spent digging through the fridge to find the ingredients we think or assume we have in the fridge. The goal is also to keep the ingredients fresh and reduce food costs.
Here's how to spend an afternoon rearranging your fridge the right way.
Step 1. Clean the refrigerator properly
The first step to a well-organized fridge is to take everything out of your fridge and give it a good scrub. Do not forget to clean the drain hole, where all the liquid from the refrigerator collects. Tip: Use tops or pipe cleaners to clean the hole.
Organize & categorize your shelves
Do not store your leftovers in pots or pans. Use transparent food boxes and fridge storage to easily see what you have in the fridge. It simplifies before big action.
The top shelf is one of the less cold shelves in your refrigerator. You can store leftover food and less sensitive products there.
The middle shelf is colder. You can store dairy products and berries there, among other things.
The bottom shelf is the coldest shelf in the refrigerator. You can store meat, fish and chicken there.
The door is the warmest part of the refrigerator. You can store sauces, spices and jam there.
Make your everyday life easier. Organizing doesn't have to be difficult!
